Jesus always spoke to the people on their own level; He spoke to the fishermen about fishing and to the farmers about farming. He took different objects and He would expound on things the people saw, or felt, or tasted. And in the Word of God, He likens you and me unto the eagle.

There are two types of eagles mentioned in the Bible, and there are two types of Christians. In the natural, the eagle is divided into different categories of eagles. There is the lesser eagle and the greater eagle. The lesser eagle reminds me a lot of most Christians. They are pretty much satisfied with the status quo. They feed on the carcasses of dead animals and dead pray. And like so many Christians who just feed on dead doctrine and dead theology; dead traditions; they're living off something from the past, and they really don't expect much from God.

but the greater eagle is a very powerful bird. They soar on the wind; they are powerful and full of majesty, and we need to learn something from the greater eagle. This eagle knows something. He feeds on something that is alive. Luke 17:37, "Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together." The Word "body" in this passage of scripture means: a living organism and something that is alive and has strength. And this is what the greater eagle feeds upon: fresh meat. This eagle knows when he needs to renew his strength and rest. Isaiah 40 tells us, "He gives power to the weak and to those who have no might. He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, ... but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their stength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles..."

What type of eagle are you? You can be either the lesser or the greater eagle; it's your choice. you can live on the dead doctrine and the traditions of men, or you can eat from the Word of God fresh manna that God has anointed and is full of life that will give life and sustain you and take you on to greater things.
